This bulletin applies to 2011-2012 Dodge Challenger, Charger and 300C models equipped with a 3.6L engine. The customer may experience a MIL on and the technician may find code P0108 (manifold absolute pressure sensor circuit high) has been set active or stored.
Updating the software will reportedly correct this condition.
Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs other than P0108 are found, record and repair as needed before reprogramming.
1. Install a battery charger to ensure that battery voltage does not drop below 13.2 volts or rise above 13.5 volts during the flash process.
2. Reprogram the PCM with the latest software. Follow the procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TechCONNECT (Group 8 – Electrical > Electronic Control Modules – Service Information > Module – Powertrain Control > Standard Procedures > PCM/ECM Programming).
3. After programming, clear any DTCs that may have set in other modules. Type the necessary information on an authorized modification label and attach it near the VECI label.
