Stant Corp. has added part numbers to its SuperStat line of thermostats and now provides best-to-market coverage for nearly 100% of the vehicles in operation today.

The company says Stant Superstat thermostats have a high-strength stainless steel flange polished to obtain an ultra-smooth surface for superior corrosion resistance and up to 30% higher flow than the competition.

Other features include:

  • the same power element (wax motor) that is used in heavy-duty trucks;
  • a thicker mounting flange, up to 43% thicker, for a lifetime of durability;
  • an opening spring that is 50% stronger than standard springs to help the thermostat return to a closed position and prevents cold running in the most adverse conditions; and
  • a lifetime warranty.

“Our research and development lab is equipped to simulate the harshest global conditions and conduct intense testing to ensure that Stant SuperStat thermostats exceed the stringent requirements of today’s automotive marketplace,” says Terry Ethier, vice president of aftermarket.

Headquartered in Connersville, Ind., Stant is a global supplier of vapor management systems, fuel delivery systems, thermal management systems and engineering services. For more information, visit www.Stant.com.
