Safety-Kleen appoints Knapp as Chief Marketing Officer

Safety-Kleen Systems Inc. has appointed Curtis Knapp as chief marketing officer and senior vice president.  As the company's first-ever Chief Marketing Officer, Knapp will be responsible for all aspects of Safety-Kleen's marketing, corporate image and brand initiatives.

"In today's business world, marketing and communications are more important than ever, and I am very pleased to have Curt Knapp, with his deep marketing and industry experience, filling this vital new role from day one," says Safety-Kleen CEO and President Robert Craycraft. Knapp will lead development of the company's overall marketing and branding strategy, ensuring that Safety-Kleen's products and services are aligned with the company's strategic plans and with its customers' needs in the oil re-refining, parts cleaning and environmental solutions markets.  

Knapp joined Safety-Kleen in December 2008 as vice president of channel marketing, responsible for development of new products and distribution channels for Safety-Kleen's high-quality, environmentally friendly lines of recycled products.
