Federal-Mogul Corp. has significantly expanded its Moog line of replacement control arms and control arm assemblies, with thousands of parts now available to cover virtually any foreign-nameplate or domestic application.
The Moog control arm line includes premium forged steel, forged aluminum and electroplated stamped-steel designs engineered to provide original equipment-style fit, optimum performance and long life. In addition, Federal-Mogul manufactures an extensive range of premium Moog control arm assemblies featuring ball joint, bushings and any related hardware for applications requiring a unitized, bolt-on solution.
Federal-Mogul also has introduced a mid-range line of Moog replacement control arms for customers seeking a more economical repair solution. The new R-Series control arms combine quality design and construction with pricing that will appeal to many budget-minded vehicle owners.
“The Moog control arm line provides category-leading coverage and quality at every price point,” says Mark Boyle, director, steering and suspension products, Federal-Mogul.
Moog premium forged steel control arms are manufactured from an ultra-high-strength fine-grain material for durability. The brand’s premium stamped-steel control arm assemblies provide OE fit and function and feature an advanced e-coat finish for enhanced rust resistance.
Many Moog control arm assemblies are equipped with the brand’s trademark ball joint technologies, including full-ball socket configuration for more responsive steering and all-metal “gusher” bearing for longer life. The brand’s exclusive double-bearing design allows for less preload, which results in reduced steering effort. Federal-Mogul engineers also integrate grease zerks into each part for periodic servicing and extended life, as well as the brand’s highly durable “grease release” polyurethane boot, which directs contaminants out of the socket and away from brake components during lubrication.
