Reviving a dead Nissan intelligent key

This applies to all Nissan vehicles equipped with their “intelligent key.” If the intelligent key is not functioning, check the outside of the key for physical damage.

Check for water/liquid intrusion inside the key housing.

 

Check for cracks, dents or other signs of damage.

Separate the key housing and check for signs of liquid contamination, including corrosion on the circuit board, signs of contamination on the inside of the key cover, and corrosion around the battery.
