Modified vent grilles are now available to cure vibrational noise complaints.

Some Mazda5 vehicles may exhibit a vibration noise from one or both of the center ventilator grilles when a “maximum amount” of air is blowing through them. This is caused by a vibrating grille fin or seal rubber on the flap. To repair the problem, the ventilator grille is replaced with a modified version.

 1. Verify the concern.
 2. Replace the ventilator grille that is vibrating with a modified one (P/N C5Y1-64-930 (right) and/or C5Y2-64-930 (left). Refer to workshop manual section 09-20 VENTILATOR GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.
