Honeywell Friction Materials, a business unit of Honeywell International Inc., grew its aftermarket line by more than 125 new model numbers – covering more than 44 million vehicles – in the second quarter of this year. These new parts will enable technicians to offer premium brake service on a wide range of new and late-model vehicles from both foreign and domestic automotive manufacturers, the company says.
In the new line-up are 10 drum and rotor models that cover more than 1.2 million vehicles, including the following models:
* 2013 Ford Explorer and Taurus,
* 2013 Ford Police Interceptor sedan and utility, and
* 2014 Ford Flex and Lincoln MKS.
In addition, 13 new disc pads were introduced that expand across 1.5 million vehicles covering the 2013-2014 Honda Accord, Nissan Altima and Cadillac ATS to name a few. The Bendix team has also expanded its brake hose coverage to include another 31 million vehicles as well as its master cylinder offering, covering an additional 11 million vehicles.
