Matco Tools will kick off its second annual Tools for the Cause campaign to raise money for breast cancer research on Oct. 1, 2013.
Tools for the Cause is a year-long program where Matco offers special edition pink products and donates 15% of the sales to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, an organization devoted to breast cancer research, community outreach, education and advocacy.
The company surpassed its $100,000 fundraising goal for 2012 and raised 1.5 times more than expected. To date, the tool company has donated more than $250,000 to help find a cure.
“After the overwhelmingly positive response to last year’s campaign and the demand for more products, we are looking forward to kicking off the second year and introducing additional special edition tools,” says Tim Gilmore, president of Matco Tools.
“Breast cancer is a topic that hits home for many of our franchisees and employees, and we welcome the opportunity to raise awareness and funds that help support finding a cure.”
The second annual Tools for the Cause campaign runs through September 2014. During that time, Matco will sell its special edition pink products through its distributors and online.
