Nissan recommends the use of specialty tool J-46532 (brake and clutch pedal height measurement tool) for checking and adjusting pedal height for all Nissan models.
The sharp point on this hardened stainless steel tool will penetrate the melt-sheet, sound insulation and carpet under the brake or clutch pedal. This is necessary to reach the steel floor pan (reference point) for proper pedal height measurement. The incremented scale, along with the penetrating tip, aids in measuring clutch pedal free-play height, brake pedal free height and brake pedal depressed height (when used with J-28662 Brake Pedal Effort Gauge). A protective storage boot is provided for the sharp pointed tip.
