I’m melting!

Honda advises that when using fender covers during underhood service, be sure to avoid placing the fender covers over and in contact with the headlight lenses on vehicles equipped with DRL (daytime running lights).

Fender covers can trap heat, which can result in melted lens surfaces.

When working on a DRL-equipped vehicle, get into the habit of setting the parking brake. This turns off the DRL, to avoid accidental headlight lens damage.

Avoid placing fender covers over headlight lenses on DRL-equipped vehicles.
