This bulletin applies to 2003-2007 Saturn Ion vehicles. A customer or technician may find that the low brake fluid warning light is on. Further diagnosis may find that DTC C0129 is stored. This concern generally occurs after a fluid change or after a brake fluid reservoir was replaced.
It is recommended that the technician measures the resistance of the fluid level switch. The value for closed (low fluid) position is 2.7 ohms and the open position (normal state) is 2K ohms.
If the switch is out of range, replace the switch with one from GMCCA. All current suspect stock has been removed.
