Luxury whine

Some 2007-2011 Lexus GS 350 vehicles equipped with 4WD may exhibit a whine noise around 60 mph on deceleration or when cruising, due to misadjusted rear propeller shaft center support bearing. This TSB applies to vehicles produced before VIN JTHCE1KS#B0028997.

If the whine noise is confirmed, remove the rear propeller shaft and confirm if washers are present between the center support bearing and the vehicle body.

If no washers are found, install washers P/N 90201-10106. The washers are 2 mm thick. One washer is installed at each of the two carrier support bolt locations.
