Another Mopar glitch

This bulletin applies to a number of Chrysler vehicles equipped with a 2.0L, 2.4L, 3.2L, 3.6L, 3.0L, 5.7L, 6.4L or 8.3L engine, built on or before March 12, 2014.

Vehicles include 2013-2014 Grand Caravan/Town & Country, Dart, Charger, 300, Challenger, 200, Avenger, Grand Cherokee, Durango, Ram, Journey, Wrangler, ProMaster and Viper.

According to Chrysler, a “small number” of customers may experience a MIL on, with DTC P0520 set (engine oil pressure sensor circuit).

Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs other than P0520 are present, record and repair as needed before proceeding.

Replace the oil pressure sensor. Clear the stored DTC(s).
