This bulletin applies to 2010-2014 Chevy Camaro models. Customers may comment about an intermittent pop or multiple popping noises from the rear of the vehicle shortly after a cold start or EVAP purge event.
The technician should be able to duplicate the concern by commanding a purge and seal on the EVAP system using GDS2. As the vacuum reaches 3 to 5 inches, the pop/popping noise should be duplicated.
The cause is the auxiliary fuel module in the left side of the fuel tank changing height (spring loaded leg) as the fuel tank collapses slightly. Replace the auxiliary fuel module with a newly designed unit.
The new-design fuel module is available as P/N 13592089 (sender kit, fuel).
