Centric Parts Divisions Earn ISO/TS Certifications

Centric Parts reports two of its divisions have recently earned extensions of their ISO/TS certifications. The StopTech high performance and racing brand has earned a renewal of its ISO9001-TS16949 Quality Management System certification at its plant in Compton, Calif., while the Qualis division has earned a renewal of its ISO9001:2008 Quality Management System certification at its Customer Service and Distribution Center in Hebron, Ky.

For StopTech, the TS16949 designation signifies that the company has met the additional requirements for the design, development, and production of automotive brake systems and components, which is a supply chain prerequisite to achieve Tier 1 status with nearly all global vehicle manufacturers. The Qualis division, meanwhile, successfully completed its annual 2015 surveillance audit with zero non-conformance, allowing it to continue its unbroken record of certification stretching back to 1999.

“Today the Centric Parts organization is able to touch all levels of automotive parts distribution,” says Centric Parts President and CEO Dan Lelchuk. “While Centric focuses on traditional aftermarket replacement parts distribution, StopTech is able to service low volume, OEM high performance and specialty production vehicles as well as its core aftermarket performance and racing markets, while our Qualis division services national retailers. Each of these teams is keenly focused on the needs of their specific customer base and exceeding our customers’ expectations.”

These are just the latest recognitions for Centric Parts, joining a string of braking technology patents and multiple awards by the Friction Materials Standards Institute for substantial contributions to the development of new application references supporting the entire industry. In addition, Centric has garnered numerous industry and program distribution group awards for vendor of the year, best catalog, best website, best new products and more.
