Bad Vibrations

This bulletin applies to 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks equipped with the 5.7L engine. The vehicle may exhibit a vibration at idle, in gear, with the vibration felt in the seat and steering wheel.

This may be caused by an exhaust system vibration. Allow the vehicle to sit long enough for the exhaust system to cool to a safe temperature. With the vehicle on a hoist, install damper P/N 52103612AA along with clamp 52019397, to the front Y-pipe. Tighten the clamp nuts to 31 ft.-lbs.

Note location for the new damper.
