Knipex Tools LP has added hose clamp pliers with a locking device to its product lineup. The new pliers keep the clamp open and locked in position without the need to grip and hold onto the pliers until the user is ready to move the clamp.

The company says the new pliers feature a lock which opens at the touch of a button and rotatable tips to reliably grip hose clamps in all positions. The pliers can be used on a variety of clamps up to 2-3/4 inches in diameter and offer leverage to allow clamps to be easily opened and moved without exerting great effort.

The 10-inch Knipex Hose Clamp Pliers are forged and oil-hardened out of German, chrome vanadium steel and feature a slim-head design for working in confined spaces and fine adjustments to ensure a precise fit to suit the most diverse clamp sizes. The pliers series offers a box-joint design with high stability from its double guide and a pinch guard to protect against finger and hand pinching.

“The new locking device for the hose clamp pliers allows you to hold your clamps open without holding onto the pliers,” says Todd Shumate, president, Knipex Tools.  “This new feature matches the demand from our customers’ feedback providing one of the best solutions for a difficult task.”
