Jeep is Not Cool

This bulletin applies to 2011 Jeep Wrangler vehicles equipped with a 2.8L engine and air conditioning, built between Jan. 4, 2011, and Jan. 7, 2011.

If the air conditioning system is inoperative, inspect the A/C compressor serial number. Locate the number on the rear of the compressor. If the number starts with “010” it will be necessary to replace the A/C compressor.

The problem may be caused by scratches on the compressor shaft at the seal location. Replacing the A/C compressor will correct the issue.

PART NO.                             ITEM

55111401AF…………………A/C compressor
