The 2013 Automotive Aftermarket Parts Exposition, also known as AAPEX, ended on Thursday, Nov. 7, in Las Vegas, Nev.

At the expo, it was reported that next spring, the Automotive Aftermarket Industry Association (AAIA) will be renamed the Auto Care Association, or ACA. According to CEO and President Kathleen Schmatz, it is an "ambitious and bold rebranding initiative."

The new name better defines "(what) our association is and what our industry is."

Schmatz adds that the new association will not use the term "automotive aftermarket" anymore; it will instead refer to the industry it represents as the "auto care industry."

This year's AAPEX set attendance records for both exhibitors and attendees.
