Some 2020 Lincoln Aviator (and Ford Explorer) vehicles built on or before July 18, 2019, may exhibit a keyless entry keypad that is inoperative. This may be due to an internal electrical connector being not fully seated.

To correct the condition, fully lower the door window glass. Remove the door interior trim panel. Remove the front door upper trim panel. Remove the door channel moulding and position the glass run weather strip aside.

Position the keyless entry keypad away from the door to access the electrical connector. Remove the cover for the keyless entry keypad with an appropriate plastic trim tool.

Make sure that the electrical connector is fully seated. Install the cover on the keyless entry keypad and reassemble the door trim.

Note the cover on the electrical connector.
