This bulletin applies to 2017-2019 Acura NSX sports cars. The optional carbon ceramic brakes for the NSX are unique. To help insure a trouble-free installation, here are some tips:

  • Make sure that you install the sensor with the black wires to the inner pad and the sensor with just the red wire to the outer pad.
  • Keep in mind that each wiring harness has a different length and must be installed on the proper pad.
  • Pay attention to the paint marks on the brake pads. They tell you which way the pads should face.
  • Front and rear brake pad pins are different. If they are installed incorrectly they won’t stay in place.
Note the positioning of the brake pad sensors. The black wire goes to the inner pads, while the red wires go to the outer pads. This applies to front and rear pads. Also notice the paint markings on the brake pad backing plates. On the front pads, the marks are placed towards the bottom when installed, while the rear pads feature the paint marks at the top. -
