A “small number” of 2013-2014 Dodge Dart vehicles equipped with a 2.4L engine and built on or before Feb. 14, 2014, may experience a MIL on, with DTC P2251 set (O2 sensor 1/1 negative current control circuit open).
Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that all engine systems are functioning as designed. Record any other faults and repair as needed before proceeding further.
Reprogramming the PCM with software release 14.02 or higher is required.
Install a battery charger to prevent battery voltage from dropping below 13.2 volts or rising above 13.5 volts during the flash process. After reprogramming, clear any DTCs that may have set as a result of the flash.
