Ram Under Pressure

Some owners of 2010-2011 Dodge Ram trucks equipped with a 6.7L Cummins turbo diesel engine built at the Saltillo assembly plant (G in the 11th VIN position) through Oct. 5, 2010, may have not seen or have ignored a safety recall for the power steering reservoir cap.

The power steering reservoir cap on about 62,000 of these vehicles may cause excessive vent pressure levels in the power steering/hydraulic brake booster system. This may cause the brake lights to remain illuminated for an extended period of time after the brake pedal has been released.

Replace the power steering reservoir cap with P/N CBHAK330AA.

Note the location of the power steering reservoir cap. When installing the new cap, turn clockwise until the cap stop is reached. Discard the original cap.
