Nissan Rear Pop

This bulletin applies to 2016-2017 Nissan Altima SR and Maxima vehicles. A pop or clunk from the rear of the vehicle may be heard, especially when driving over bumps.

The rear suspension stabilizer connecting rod nuts may be loose on the left and/or rear sides. The nuts may have been improperly tightened during vehicle assembly.

Replace the connecting rod and nuts on both sides. Note: Whenever rear suspension work is performed where the rod nuts have been removed, always replace with new nuts, tightening to 41 ft.-lbs.

01225-N0031.............. Connecting rod nuts

Always install new rod nuts and torque to 41 ft.-lbs.
