Mazda Vibes

This bulletin applies to 2007-2015 Mazda CX-9 AWD vehicles built prior to Aug. 1, 2015. Some vehicles may experience vibration during acceleration and/or noise coming from the rear of the vehicle.

Due to environmental heat and heat from the exhaust system, the rear differential mounting rubber may become hardened and cracked, resulting in vibration and/or noise. To eliminate the concern, the rubber material has been improved.

If cracks are found in either the left or right mounting rubber, replace with a modified rubber. Mounting rubber(s) can be replaced without removing the rear differential or propeller shaft. Be sure to torque the mounting bolts to 47-62 ft.-lbs. (63-85 Nm).

The new/improved mounting rubbers are available as follows:

PART …………………………….......…………. P/N

Differential mounting rubber, right side.............L214-28-68XB

Differential mounting rubber, left side............. L214-28-68YB

The rear differential rubber mounts can be replaced without removing the rear differential or the propeller shaft.
