This bulletin applies to 2013 Dodge Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 series trucks built on or before May 1, 2013, equipped with speed control, involving a software upgrade on the steering column control module (SCCM).
The customer may experience no response or slow response to the cruise control switch activations. The condition may occur when the customer activates/presses the switches in a very fast manner.
Using a scan tool, verify that no DTCs are set. If DTCs are found, record and repair as needed before proceeding with reprogramming. Install a battery charger to keep battery voltage between 13.2 and 13.5 volts. Reprogram the SCCM with the latest software (release14.02 or higher).
