GoPure Automotive Clean Air System removes toxins

Philips Automotive Lighting North America says its new GoPure Automotive Clean Air System can be a valuable first line of defense against toxic chemicals that out-gas from new car interiors.

Philips says that according to the Ecology Center, which recently released a new guide to toxic chemicals in cars at, the chemicals that contribute to the “new car smell” pose a variety of acute and long-term health concerns.

The Philips GoPure Automotive Clean Air System is a medical-grade air purifier that lets drivers and passengers breathe clean air by removing toxic VOCs from new car parts along with a wide variety of air pollutants, dust and allergens.

The system also helps to reduce bad odors and keep the air inside the car smelling fresh and clean.

“Research shows that vehicle interiors contain a unique cocktail of hundreds of toxic chemicals that off-gas in small, confined spaces,” says Jeff Gearhart, Research Director at the Ecology Center. “Since these chemicals are not regulated, consumers have no way of knowing the dangers they face.”

The Philips GoPure Automotive Clean Air System has two operational speeds: a normal mode which automatically switches on when the vehicle is started and a boost mode that accelerates the cleaning process.
