Ford Motor Co. has integrated its eCounter aftermarket e-commerce parts platform with Identifix to allow Motorcraft brand parts to be ordered through a single website.
Ford’s wholesale and aftermarket operations division says the new partnership makes it possible for technicians to troubleshoot the toughest service challenges and order Motorcraft parts through a single website. Identifix is a provider of digital systems and applications that help automotive repair professionals to diagnose and repair vehicles.
“eCounter’s partnership with Identifix brings two of the strongest brands together for the single purpose of helping technicians do their job better,” says Anthony Piazza, aftermarket marketing manager for Ford.
“Identifix Direct-Hit is one of the best diagnostic tools available, and eCounter offers the complete line of Motorcraft replacement parts at competitive prices. It’s a win-win for everyone.”
Identifix currently services more than 53,000 installers, providing repair support, information and technical support. When users prepare an estimate within the Identifix Direct-Hit software, they are now able to select the InPart Gateway for eCommerce within the program’s estimating feature.
eCounter orders identified using the tool will be fulfilled in real time by the appropriate Ford authorized dealer.
Ford says eCounter is the first e-commerce application in the market capable of receiving parts orders from Identifix. Currently eCounter services thousands of users each month.
“Now that eCounter is part of Identifix, we are providing yet another tool to ensure that technicians have all they need to find the right, quality part, designed specifically for Ford vehicles, for the right price,” said Piazza. “Our goal is to make it easier than ever to put Motorcraft parts in the hands of technicians in a fast, affordable way.”
