Brake Parts Inc. reports the winner of the Raybestos brakes custom-built 1969 Mustang will be announced during the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) in Las Vegas this November.

“Automotive service and parts professionals work hard every day to keep their customers on the road, so when we decided to restore an iconic muscle car like the 1969 Mustang, we knew it should go to someone who knows cars and has made a career in the auto care industry,” says Kristin Grons, marketing manager for Brake Parts. .

The iconic Raybestos ’69 Mustang is currently traveling throughout North America before making its way to Las Vegas, where it will be awarded to the winner on November 2 during AAPEX. Painted in classic colors and striping that are true to the time, the classic muscle car features a new Ford Coyote engine similar to the one found in the modern Boss 302. Schwartz Performance installed its “G-Machine” bolt-in chassis and an off-the-shelf performance disc brake upgrade package, using Raybestos components and Element3 brake pads with Enhanced Hybrid Technology (EHTTM).
