Check Chevy Oil Pump Solenoid

| All Photo Credits: General MotorsThis bulletin applies to 2014-2018 Chevy Silverado vehicles equipped with a 4.3L, 5.3L, 6.2L, L83, L86 or LV3 engine. A DTC P06DD may have set. The oil pump control solenoid may be damaged.
Follow diagnostics for the P06DD. If it leads to oil pump replacement, remove the OCV from the oil pump and inspect the end of the solenoid for damage or a break. If a damaged/broken solenoid is found, replace the oil pump and check the OCV before installing the new pump.
