Some 2013-2016 Mazda CX-5 and 2014-2017 Mazda6 vehicles might vibrate, with the sensation more noticeable on smooth, flat roads.

The vibration may be caused by wear on the inner surface of the tripod joint case (inner side of front drive shaft).
To eliminate the concern, a coating has been applied to the inner surface of the tripod joint case to improve wear resistance. The improved inner joint set is available for 2WD and 4WD vehicles equipped with a 2.0L or 2.5L engine.
