ASE Promotes National Car Care Month

The National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) joins others in the industry in recognizing April as National Car Care Month.

National Car Care Month was created to educate vehicle owners about the importance of routine maintenance and preventive car care. “April is the perfect time for car owners to take their vehicles in for servicing,” says ASE President Tim Zilke. “You can undo the wear-and-tear of winter driving while getting the family car ready for the summer months ahead.”

ASE notes that vehicle owners who keep on top of maintenance and service schedules can extend the life of their vehicles, will see better gasoline mileage, and should rest easier, knowing that they have lessened the odds of a mechanical breakdown. Additionally, a well-maintained car can command a higher resale or trade-in price.  “There’s no downside to routine car care,” adds Zilke.
