Alignments and tool storage combined in new Snap-on system
Snap-on Equipment, a division of Snap-on Inc., has introduced a new alignment system.
The new V3D1 X-Cel Toolbox from John Bean combines the accuracy and versatility of an innovative alignment system with the quality and security of a self-contained professional tool storage unit, according to the company.
“Our new V3D1 X-Cel Toolbox is a one-of-a-kind system offering many unique time-saving and business-enhancing features,” says Jon LaRue, director, product management for Snap-on Equipment.
He adds, “From its high- resolution cameras to its professional grade tool box, the V3D1 X-Cel is not only a productivity enhancer in the service bay, but provides customers with clear, concise information needed to make informed decisions about vehicle service and repair.”
The V3D1 X-Cel Toolbox alignment system features high-resolution cameras that provide accurate, live readings and diagnostic data, the company says. Other features include:
* AC400 Touchless Alignment Wheel Clamps that offer accurate and repeatable results without touching the rim. This lightweight and durable patented design eliminates the opportunity for wheel damage while offering ease of use and increased productivity.
* EZ-TOE that allows the user to lock in the alignment readings and then rotate the wheels. This allows access to difficult-to-reach areas, making it much more efficient to use than comparable alignment systems.
* Cross-diagonal measurements to quickly identify frame or structural issues and the rolling radius function to identify mismatched tire sizes, a potential cause of vehicle pulling and driver complaints.
The system also has its own tool-storage unit. The professional grade toolbox provides added security for storage of specialty tools and adapters, according to the company.
The V3D1 X-Cel Toolbox has a user-friendly interface that offers step-by-step instructions and a series of training videos.
