To accommodate the growing number of manufacturers signing up for the 2011 Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) Show, organizers have created a new area within the show floor called the First-Time and Featured Exhibitors Section.

The 2011 SEMA Show takes place Tuesday through Friday, Nov. 1-4, 2011, in Las Vegas, Nev. With more than 100,000 industry professionals in attendance each year, the show is the premier annual trade gathering for the automotive accessories industry.

“We’re excited about this new area of the SEMA Show,” says Peter MacGillivray, SEMA vice president of events and communications. “The section gives buyers a single place to see and meet with hundreds of first-time exhibitors.”

More than 1,800 manufacturers have already committed to exhibiting at the 2011 SEMA Show, and new booth space applications continue to come in on a regular basis. Because the booth space selection process has already passed, space is now assigned on a first-come, first-served basis. Exhibitors generally choose to exhibit in one of 12 SEMA Show sections that corresponds to their market segment, such as Racing & Performance, Mobile Electronics, Trucks & SUVs, etc. The new First-Time and Featured Exhibitors area will include manufacturers from a variety of market segments, with about 80% representing first-time exhibitors.

The new section will be located in the East side of the upper level of South Hall. Also located in the area will be Ideas Alive, the name and theme for the 2011 SEMA Show New Products Showcase.

“We’re confident that buyers will be attracted to the First-Time and Featured Exhibitors area,” says MacGillivray. “Because it’s on the Show floor adjacent to some of the most popular features, buyers will not have to walk far to meet with these new exhibitors.”
