Safety-Kleen appoints Knapp as Chief Marketing Officer

Safety-Kleen Systems Inc. has appointed Curtis Knapp as chief marketing officer and senior vice president.  As the company's first-ever Chief Marketing Officer, Knapp will be responsible for all aspects of Safety-Kleen's marketing, corporate image and brand initiatives.

"In today's business world, marketing and communications are more important than ever, and I am very pleased to have Curt Knapp, with his deep marketing and industry experience, filling this vital new role from day one," says Safety-Kleen CEO and President Robert Craycraft. "I am confident he will help drive our continued growth."

Knapp will lead development of the company's overall marketing and branding strategy, ensuring that Safety-Kleen's products and services are aligned with the company's strategic plans and with its customers' needs in the oil re-refining, parts cleaning and environmental solutions markets.

Knapp joined Safety-Kleen in December 2008 as vice president of channel marketing, responsible for development of new products and distribution channels for Safety-Kleen's high-quality, environmentally friendly lines of recycled products.
