Independent repair shops participating in the Tier1 auto industry sponsored ExtremeWrench.com rewards program have been donating their points to charities this Holiday season.

Six repair shops have donated so far, to charities ranging from their local Boys and Girls Club to the American Red Cross Hurricane Sandy relief effort and the American Cancer Society.

These shops have been thanked on Twitter and Facebook for their generosity, earning them some recognition this winter as part of an ongoing series of tweets and status updates touting our rewards participant’s big hearts.

ExtremeWrench says this has been made possible with the generosity of partners: Denso, NTK, NGK, Timken, Mahle, Suplex, Mann Filter, Nissens, Akebono, Contitech, Victor Reinz, Wahler, MicronAir, Hepu, Jurid, Pentosin, Rein, Optimal, LiquiMoly, LUK, Suplex and Fremax.

"The generosity of our sponsors and rewards participants truly is something that warms your heart in the winter; there is a lot of cheer in this bunch," says ExtremeWrench Media Director William Hinds.
