Ram Air Suspension Snafu

This bulletin applies to 2013-2014 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks, built on or before May 10, 2014, and equipped with Quadra-Lift air suspension. A customer may notice a false message “Battery Voltage Low – Start Engine to Change Ride Height” which appears in the electronic vehicle information center (EVIC) when unlocking or locking the doors.

A battery drain may happen when using the key fob to stop the vehicle from lowering. The ASCM does not go to sleep and the CAN-C bus stays awake. A reprogram will address this concern.

Using a scan tool (wiTECH), verify that no DTCs are present. If DTCs are present, record and address before continuing. Install a battery charger to prevent battery voltage from dropping below 13.2 volts or rising above 13.5 volts.

Reprogram the ASCM with the latest software, using release 14.03 or higher.

Clear any DTCs that hay set as a result of programming.
