Sick Supercharger

This bulletin applies to 2014-current Chevy Camaro vehicles equipped with a 6.2L supercharged engine. Customers may experience a rattling or knocking noise at mid-to-high mph, and at idle. A screeching noise may also be heard at mid-to-high engine speed, usually when cold.
A light to moderate rattling noise at idle sounds like marbles in the supercharger, but goes away when engine speed is increased to about 1,200 rpm, which Chevy says is normal. 2014 and later models may experience a buzz noise (similar to a heat shield buzz) at a narrow rpm band between 700-1,300 rpm.
Most of the noise complaints may be caused by contamination of the lubricating grease within the supercharger that may cause the bearing to make noise. If this condition is left unaddressed, the bearing may overheat and damage the supercharger. Replace the supercharger front cover using the parts as follows:
