Mazda CX-5 May Become Overheated

This bulletin applies to 2019-2020 Mazda CX-5 vehicles equipped with a Skyactiv-G 2.5 turbo engine. Some vehicles may exhibit engine overheating and poor A/C performance with DTC P111A:00 stored in memory.

This concern may be due to improper control module software, which causes the cooling fan assembly to run improperly, resulting in high coolant temperature.

The fan control module is integrated into the cooling fan assembly. Note that if a cooling concern occurs only at high speed driving, this bulletin may not apply. Diagnose accordingly.

To eliminate the concern, the fan control module software has been modified. Replace the cooling fan assembly with P/N PX35-15-025A.
