Whatcha gonna do when they come for you?

This TSB applies to 2008-2010 Dodge Charger and Magnum police cars. Police package WIG-WAG lighting, along with other Police inputs (horn mute, radio mute, panic alarm mute) may become inoperative. This condition will most likely occur when the vehicle is in transition from ignition OFF to ignition ON and battery voltage drops below 9 volts.

Using a scan tool (wi-TECH or StarSCAN) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available on TechCONNECT, verify that all systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs are present, record them and repair as needed before proceeding further.

  1. Using the wiTECH diagnostic application for flashing a PTIM is available through the wiTECH Diagnostic Application. For instructions, select the “HELP” tab on the upper portion of the wiTECH window, then “HELP CONTENTS.” This will open the Welcome to wiTECH Help screen where help topics can be selected.
  2. After reprogramming, clear any DTCs that may have been set as a result of reprogramming. The wiTECH application will automatically present all DTCs after the flash and allow the tech to clear them.

NOTE: There will be two flash files available. Use the “2008-2010 LX PTIM POLICE” flash file.
