Maxima power loss

This TSB applies to 2007-2008 Nissan Maxima A34 and 2009-2012 Maxima A35 vehicles. If you confirm that the vehicle has low power at 0 mph to 40 mph, and power is normal above 40 mph, and there are no DTCs stored, the most likely cause is an issue with the output signal from an ABS/VDC wheel speed sensor (sensor, wiring or debris on the sensor or rotor).

Perform “line graph” diagnostics on each sensor while driving. Inspect and repair any sensor with a spike in the output signal or that has a different value than the other sensors.

A weak or erratic output signal from a wheel speed sensor can cause poor performance or lack of power from a stop or at low speeds.

Do not replace the TCM or CVT unit when a repair of a signal from a wheel speed sensor will resolve the issue.
