Suzuki cold click

This TSB applies to 2007-2008 Suzuki XL7 models, produced before October 12, 2007. Axle clicking similar to a failing constant velocity joint is most noticeable when turning and accelerating from a stop with the outside temperature at or below 15 degrees F. Clicking noise will diminish as the CV joint warms up from driving.

The cause is likely the axle grease. Do not replace the axle shaft or CV joints. New CV joint boots with premium grease is available. Follow the service manual procedure found under “Front Wheel Drive Shaft outer Joint and Boot Replacement” to remove and replace the affected outer CV joint grease and boot using the new part number 44118-78J01. Note: One kit will service one CV joint.
