Baby it’s Cold Outside

Some Toyota vehicles (2010 Highlander Hybrid V6 for example, but including 4Runner, Prius, Avalon, Camry, Corolla, Venza, Matrix, RAV4, Sienna and Tundra) equipped with RES (remote engine starter) may experience a non-functioning RES.

The system was available on certain models in 2006. The system was designed to operate at temperatures above -22 degrees Fahrenheit. Non-operation of the RES at lower ambient temperature is normal.

If it’s colder than 22 below, maybe the customer should just stay home.
