Sebring lean signal
This bulletin applies to 2008-2010 Chrysler Sebring models equipped with the 2.4L engine and 4-speed automatic transmission, built before June 8, 2010. The MIL may illuminate, with DTC P2270 stored (O2 sensor 1 / 2 signal biased lean).
Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedure available in TechCONNECT, verify that all engine systems are functioning as designed. If DTCs other than the one listed here, record and repair as needed before proceeding.
- Reprogram the OCM with the latest software. Follow the detailed service procedures available in DealerCONNECT/TechCONNECT. Refer to Group 8 – Eelectrical > Electronic Control Modules – Service Information > Module – Powertrain Control > Standard Procedures > PCM/ECM Programming – Gas.
- After PCM reprogramming, clear any DTCs that may have been set in other modules due to reprogramming. The wiTECH application will automatically present all DTCs after the flash and allow you to clear them.
- Type the necessary information on an Authorized Modifications Label and attach it near the VECI label.
