Challenger Reprogram

This bulletin applies to 2011 Dodge Challenger vehicles equipped with a 3.6L engine and built before Feb. 2, 2011. The customer may experience a condition known as “idle buffering” while the vehicle is idling.

This condition can be similar to driving down the road with one rear window down and all other widows up, causing a thumping or buffeting sound.

Updating the PCM software will correct this condition, which adjusts idle speed to 650 rpm. Using a scan tool, reprogram to software release 11.02 or higher.
