Bluetooth Blockout

This bulletin applies to 2012 Dodge Chargers built between Jan. 27, 2012, and Jan. 31, 2012, and equipped with UConnect Voice Command with Bluetooth.

The customer may experience no response from the voice recognition button on the steering wheel or they will not be able to enter into the phone screen on the radio. The condition is caused by the HFM not communicating. To coin a phrase from the movie Cool Hand Luke, "What we've got here is failure to communicate."

Follow the procedure in TechCONNECT for proper removal and installation of the HFM. Go to Service in TechCONNECT, then go to 08- Electrical/8E – Electronic Control Modules/MODULE, hands free/removal and installation.

Basically, you’re going to remove the program and reinstall it.
