Dayco Brings Serpentine Belt Kits to North America

Dayco Articles LLC has launched serpentine belt kits in North America. The belt kit is marketed and sold as Dayco Demanding Drive Kits.

Designed for the replacement of worn or damaged serpentine belts, tensioners and pulleys, the company says Dayco Demanding Drive Kits are the solution when replacing all of the major components in the accessory drive system.

“Many of today’s modern vehicles possess complex accessory drive systems that require the replacement of all worn components in order to operate efficiently,” says Robert Christy, director of marketing.

“Dayco Demanding Drive Kits provide the professional technician or do-it-yourself customer with all of the required components to ensure a quiet, problem-free belt drive system.”

Engineered for drives that are prone to belt noise and warranty claims in the North American market, Dayco’s 14 part numbers cover nearly 40 million vehicles-in-operation.

“Dayco is committed to the innovation of advanced engineered Articles which meet or exceed customer needs for fuel efficiency, emissions reduction, minimizing NVH and performance enhancement,” says Jay Swope, regional commercialization center manager of belt Articles.

Dayco Demanding Drive Kits include the new Dayco Poly Rib W2 Serpentine Belt, the second generation of the most innovative advancement in belt technology, according to the company.

These application-specific kits can include the Dayco Poly Rib W2 Serpentine Belt, Dayco No Slack Automatic Belt Tensioner, Dayco No Slack Idler/Tensioner Pulley and Dayco Overrunning Alternator Pulley, when applicable.
