Auto Service Professional combined with its sister publication Modern Tire Dealer to win four awards, including three gold medals, for editorial excellence from the 24th International Automotive Media Competition (IAMC) judges.
Mike Mavrigian, editor of ASP, won a gold medallion in the Technical/General category for his article on premature brake wear. ASP and MTD are part of Bobit Business Media Inc.
Entered in the Magazine Writing divisions, MTD took home the following International Automotive Media Awards for stories/issues published in 2014:

“Building Business” was the cover story for MTD’s November 2014 issue. It highlighted the pros and cons of building a new facility from the ground up by Ziegler Tire & Supply Co. in Canton, Ohio.
“All for one and one for all” was MTD’s story profiling the 2014 Tire Dealer of the Year winner, Bruce Halle. Halle is the patriarch of Reinalt-Thomas Corp., which does business as the more familiar Discount Tire, the 900-plus store chain based in Scottsdale, Ariz.
The IAMC awards ceremony was held in the Brembo North America Media Tent at the 37th annual Concours d’Elegance of America in Plymouth, Mich., July 26.
The purpose of the IAMC is to "recognize and encourage excellence in all forms of automotive media." The competition is administered, produced and owned by the International Society for Vehicle Preservation, a non-profit educational organization.
