Fast Finger Fail

This bulletin applies to 2013 Dodge Journey models built on or before May 1, 2013, equipped with speed control. A customer may experience slow or no response to cruise control switch activations. The issues will be experienced by customers that activate/press the switches in a very fast manner.

Using a scan tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate diagnostic procedures available in TechCONNECT, verify that no DTCs are set. If DTCs are present, record and address as needed.

Install a battery charger to ensure that battery voltage does not drop below 13.2 volts or climb above 13.5 volts during the flash process.

Reprogram the SCCM with the latest software (release 14.02 or higher). Using the wiTECH diagnostic application for flashing an SCCM is available by selecting “help” then “help contents” at the top of the application window.

Clear any DTCs that may have set in other modules as a result of reprogramming.
