Resurfacing No-No

This bulletin applies to 2013 and prior GM passenger cars and trucks equipped with the drum and hat parking brake design.

GM does not recommend any resurfacing of the park brake portion of the rear brake rotors. If slight sanding will not remove surface imperfections (rust/corrosion/pitting), the rotor should be replaced.
